    DMS Teamed on Strategic Contract Vehicle:

    DMS has agreed to a teaming relationship with The Columbia Group, (TCG) http://www.columbiagroup.com on its Commercial Enterprise Omnibus support services (CEOss) contract vehicle. CEOss is a Marine Corps Systems Commands, (MCSC) Acquisition Center for Support Services (ACSS) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) which enables MCSC to acquire a wide range of support services. This BPA is open to the Marine Corps Systems Command and other Marine Corps organizations. DMS is teamed with a number of very successful large medium and small businesses as part of the Acquisition, Logistics and Administration (ALA) domain. DMS looks forward to active participation and future growth as a result of our involvement in this strategic contract vehicle.

    DMS Producing Lean Six Sigma Talent Base:

    Congratulations to Neda Haghighi on the successful completion of her Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Green Belt Certification and her award received through Villanova University. Lean Six Sigma principles allow you to boost corporate and individual efficiency by eliminating not only defects in products and services, but other forms of waste: inventory, processing, waiting, motion, transportation and overproduction. Lean Six Sigma techniques help professionals in both the services and product industries. DMS continues to look to develop LSS talent as part of our core business practices. This certification will serve Neda well as she supports a structured approach to reshaping DMS management practices within our corporate offices and on client contracts.

    Another DMS Contract:

    ARL has extended the services of DMS through ARL contract W911QX-09-C-0087 to provide scientific, engineering, and analysis support services in support of the Ballistics and Weapons Concepts Division (BWCD). Through this contract DMS will provide technical services in the following areas: 1) numerical modeling of phenomena related to high-g ballistics launch and flight dynamics and the structural integrity/survivability of weapons, munitions, electronic components, and structures; 2) engineering design of ordnance components, projectiles, weapons concepts, novel solutions in guidance, navigation, control, telemetry technologies, and counter Improvised Explosive Devices (IED); 3) development and prototyping of ordnance components, projectiles, novel solutions in guidance, navigation, control, telemetry technologies, and counter-IEDs; 4) project programmatic and administrative support on programs related to research and development of guidance, navigation, control, telemetry technologies, and counter-IED technologies. These objectives will be accomplished through the use of various experimental, computational research techniques and tools, and programmatic tools. Congratulations everyone!

    DMS awarded a fourth ARL WMRD Contract:

    ARL has just granted DMS its fourth contract at ARL W911QX-09-0066, as an extension of our service to the Weapons and Materials Research Directorate. The objective of this contract is to provide project engineering and science services for the research, development, and engineering mission of the Army Research Laboratory, Weapons and Materials Research Directorate (WMRD), Materials Applications Branch (MAB) and Survivability Materials Branch (SMB). Technical services include cold spray technology; thermal spray technologies, plasma coating technology and various other inorganic coatings technologies; synthesis, processing and characterization of ceramics, polymers and composites made from these materials, survivability materials for vehicle and personnel protection including metals, ceramics, glasses, polymers, and composites (organic, ceramic, or metal matrix); prototyping of materials; prototyping of armor materials systems, dynamic failure of materials experiments and analysis.
