US Army Research Laboratory
DMS proudly serves the Army Research Laboratory through multiple contracts as a vendor of choice, providing project management and technical services in numerical modeling of phenomena related to structural integrity of weapons, munitions, high-g ballistics launch and flight dynamics, structural integrity/survivability engineering design of ordnance components, cannons, projectiles, and composite armor; incorporate graphite fiber reinforced composites, metal matrix composites, adhesives, epoxies, ceramics, polymers, or metals; provides technical and administrative services to the Ballistics and Weapons Concepts Division.
Additionally within the Weapons and Materials Research Directorate, Materials Application Branch and Survivability Materials Branch, we provide project management services, in the following areas:
- Materials and Applications Branch (MAB) - Cold spray technology; thermal spray technologies, plasma coating technology and various other inorganic coatings technologies; synthesis, processing and characterization of ceramics, polymers and composites made from these materials
- Survivability Materials Branch (SMB) - Candidate survivability materials for vehicle and personnel protection including metals, ceramics, glasses, polymers, and composites, prototyping of materials; prototyping of armor materials systems, dynamic failure of materials experiments and analysis.
Naval Sea Systems Command
DMS continues to support NAVSEA by providing technical, administrative, and management support to maintain existing automated database systems, technical documentation, Department of Defense certifications, and customize the NAVSEA HQ System (NHS) to include maintenance and support to existing systems, and support for Lean Six Sigma (LSS), Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) initiatives. The support includes development of an Internet application using NMCI protocols to track Resource utilization, and Security requirements. Through this contract DMS developed, maintained, and supported operation of the NAVSEA Headquarters System (NHS) to support NAVSEA financial management processes to include Budget preparation, review, reporting, justification, analysis, execution tracking, reporting, funds control, funds management, accounting, and year-end close-out, POM forecasting and development, and metrics gathering and analyses. Financial analysts use NHS to assist in data manipulation (drills) in support of NAVSEA activities Provide NAVSEA a means to submit and track funding allocations, as well as allocation changes into current system.
Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM)
MARCORSYSCOM Product Groups and Comptroller requires technical support in conducting system maintenance and support to existing financial management information systems and accounting systems. Systems include the USMC version of the NAVSEA HQ System (NHS), Program Budget Information System (PBIS), Standard Accounting Reporting and Budgetary System (SABRS), Program Budget Documentation Database (PBDD), SPS, MOCAS, PR Builder, and other USMC, Navy, and DoD systems as required. DMS is responsible for accomplishing all required tasks to provide technical, administrative, and management support to maintain existing automated database systems, technical documentation, maintaining Department of Defense (DoD) certifications as required, and customize NHS at MARCORSYSCOM in support their respective Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) Initiatives.
